UPDATE: Silver Alert rescinded for Kenneth Russell, he has been located

UPDATE: CALHOUN, La. 8/5/20 — Authorities say Mr. Russell was found a few minutes ago in a wooded area near Lubenia Road in Calhoun. 

He is currently being taken to the hospital for medical evaluation.

Authorities say they want to thank the local agencies and residents who volunteered their time and equipment during the past few days to aid in the search. 

They would also like to recognize Mr. Zach Stephens and his bloodhound, Ruby, for their assistance as they actually located Mr. Russell in the wooded area.

Ouachita Parish – The Louisiana State Police has issued a Silver Alert on behalf of the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office.

They are requesting assistance in locating 85-year-old Kenneth Joseph Russell, who was reported missing at approximately 5:30 p.m. on August 1, 2020.

He was last seen walking from his residence in the 200 block of Luebenia Road in Calhoun, LA

Russell, has gray hair, is approximately 5’8” and weighs about 170 pounds. He was wearing a green mask, a light blue shirt and blue striped pajama pants or blue jeans when he disappeared. 

Family members confirm Mr. Russell suffers from dementia, and his medical condition may impair his judgment.

Anyone with information as to the whereabouts of Kenneth Joseph Russell should immediately contact the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office at 318-329-1200.
