4/7/19- OPSO has received several reports of flash flooding conditions for several streets and low lying areas in the Bawcomville area in West Monroe. The intersections of Washington at Lenwil, Washington at Ellen and Evergreen at Lenwil, and Finks Hideaway at Raymond Drive have been closed due to the high water. Also be aware of water on Avant Road between Harrell and Green Roads in West Monroe.
Please avoid these areas. Use extreme caution should you have to travel and obey barricades at the closed locations.

Due to the prolonged rainfall, there are several streets inside the city limits of West Monroe, Louisiana that are not drivable. Crews from the city of West Monroe are out and closing those streets. Please do not go around the barricades. As of 7:40 pm, the following streets are closed:
Medorah Street
S. 5th Street / Coleman Avenue
Cypress Street (Hwy 80) / Crosley)
Montgomery / Jonesboro Highway
Trenton Street / Coleman Avenue
These streets will be opened once they become safe. Other streets may be closed. There are several streets where part of the lane is covered with water and those streets may not be closed.
