Ruston: Two die after Tahoe hits deer in roadway, veers out of control, crashes into trees

RUSTON, La. (KTAL) – (4/22/19) Christopher Brady, 27, and Savannah Holden, 27, of Ruston, were pronounced dead, after being transported to a local hospital following the accident.

Shortly after midnight, Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop F began investigating a single vehicle fatal crash on Louisiana Highway 821 just east of Louisiana Highway 33. 

The initial investigation  revealed the crash occurred the 2006 Chevrolet Tahow Brady was driving  in the eastbound lane of LA 821 when it struck a deer that was in the road. 

After striking the deer, the vehicle traveled off the roadway and struck several trees.

Holden, the only passenger in the Tahoe, was trapped inside and had to be extricated.

Both Brady and Holden were taken to a local hospital where they were pronounced dead.

A toxicology sample was obtained and will be submitted for analysis. This crash remains under investigation.
