Ruston fireworks stand shut down for illegal sales

According to our partners at the News-Star, a Ruston fireworks stand will not open for the remainder of the season after illegal fireworks were sold at the location.

Deputies with the Louisiana Office of State Fire Marshal issued a cease-and desist order to the licensed stand on Saturday.

Frith’s Fireworks on the South Service Road was found to be in violation of two state laws according to a statement from the Fire Marshal’s Office.This led to the location being shut down for the remainder of the Fourth of July fireworks season ending July 5.
