Recent Poll shows two Republicans take the frontline in the U.S. Senate race

A recently released statewide poll shows two Republicans are taking the frontline in the U.S. Senate Race.

Southern Media & Opinion Research released the poll Wednesday morning.

The poll showed that State Treasurer John Kennedy (R) continues to lead with 17% and Congressman Charles Boustany (R) is close behind with 15%.

Attorney Caroline Fayard (D) came in third with 11% and Public Service Commissioner Foster Campbell (D) forth with 9%.

When asked whether the voters would vote for a Republican or Democrat for U.S. Senate, 43% said they’d vote Republican, 33% would vote for Democrat and 24% were undecided.

The U.S. Senate will be on the November Ballot for 2016.

The deadline to register to vote is on October 11.
