(12/4/18) The judge overseeing the rape case involving rapper Mystikal, is stepping aside.

Michael ‘Mystikal’ Tyler’s lawyer made a motion Tuesday morning in court, asking Judge Ramona Emanuel to recuse herself from the case.

She granted the motion. Judge Brady O’Callaghan will now oversee the case.

Tyler is accused of an alleged rape that occurred in October 2016. He’s charged with 1st degree rape and 2nd degree kidnapping.

He’s being held at Caddo Correctional Center on $3 million bond.

In October, Judge Emanuel denied Tyler’s request to lower his bond.

He’s schedule to be in court on Monday.
