Aaron Bowman, 21 of Monroe, and Derrick Logwood, 19 of Monroe, were arrested Wednesday.

According to the arrest report, officers responded to a residence on North 3rd in reference to a home invasion.

Once officers arrived, they made contact with the tenant. She said she let her cousin into her home because he said he was being followed by several people.

Moments later, about 7 people kicked in the front door of her residence and came into the woman’s home.

The man said he was attacked by the 7 people in the living room and that at one point he was hit in the head with brass knuckles by an unknown person.

The man said someone fought his back to the back bedroom of the home where he was thrown out the window.

Bowman stated he was just walking in the area and heard yelling, but was not a part of anything that happened.

Logwood stated that he was nearby and got a phone call from a “friend” to come to the house. He denied being a part of anything that happened.

Both Bowman and Logwood were booked into the Ouachita Correctional Center on one count criminal conspiracy and one count home invasion.
