MONROE, La. – (5/17/19) A Monroe woman faces kidnapping charges after forcibly removing her sister from her home.

Neighbors and family members watched 45-year-old Emily White forcing her sister into a vehicle against her will on Thursday, May 16th. White took her sister to her house on the 2600 block of Railroad Avenue where the victim attempted to leave but failed when White stopped her.

White told Richwood Police that she did take her sister from her house because she felt that she did not need to be living there. She said it was not considered kidnapping because it was her sister.

White had been told multiple times before her arrest by Richwood Police that she could not just take her sister from her home if she did not want to go.

White was transported and booked into OCC.

She was charged with Simple Kidnapping and False Imprisonment.
