Police: Monroe man faces obscenity charges after exposing himself to a woman in traffic

MONROE, La. — (4/27/19) A Monroe man faces obscenity charges after exposing himself to a woman in another lane of traffic.

The victim told West Monroe police officers she was stopped at the intersection of Cypress Street and Thomas Road when a man in the left lane beside her made motions to get her attention. She said the man exposed himself and stared at her. She was able to follow the suspect until police arrived.

Officers chased the suspect at a high rate of speed before he made a stop. The suspect was identified as 55-year-old Roy Dewayne Colvin Sr. Officers learned Colvin also had an active warrant for his arrest.

Colvin was transported to WMCC for processing before being booked at OCC. 

His bond was set at $5,000.
