MONROE, La. — (4/6/19) A Monroe man was arrested for attempting to steal $500 worth of items at a local grocery store.

On Wednesday, officers were dispatched to Family Stop Foods at 1403 Orange Street as a local man attempted to steal $500 worth of merchandise from the store with a trash can.

Potter was transported to the hospital where he tested positive for PCP.

He was then transported to OCC.
