(5/14/19) EL DORADO, Ar. — A twin-engine plane has been forced to make an emergency landing in El Dorado after its front landing gear failed.
The El Dorado Fire Department says two flight instructors were aboard when it made the emergency landing at the South Arkansas Regional Airport.
Video capturing the landing shows the plane’s nose tip forward as it attempted to stop on the runway.
The pilots had taken off a few hours earlier without realizing there was a problem with the landing equipment.
Fire Chief Chad Mosby calls the situation a “textbook landing.”
