Ouachita Parish burglary suspect arrested in Texas

OUACHITA Parish — (4/26/19) Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office Investigators have arrested a suspect in the investigation of several residential and camp burglaries that happened in August 2018.  The burglaries occurred in the Jones Road area of western Ouachita Parish.

During the investigation, Cassidy Mckoin was identified as the suspect in the surveillance photos and a warrant was issued for his arrest on multiple counts of Burglary.

Deputies say Mckoin fled Ouachita Parish after committing the burglaries.

In their continued search for him, investigators learned he was now living in the Abilene, TX area.

The Abilene Police Department was notified and were able to locate Mckoin. 

He was arrested on the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office warrant and is in custody in Abilene, pending extradition proceedings back to Ouachita Parish on the charges.
