(1/26/19) Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to a burglary complaint at 212 Harding Dr. on Friday.

The victim told deputies her residence was burglarized by forced entry made through the rear window.

The victim said the air condition repair man was in the driveway waiting on her to arrive to get into the residence to do repairs. When she arrived, the repairman told her a relative came and knocked on the door. He told the relative the owner would be home shortly. He then told victim the relative was a male, but looked like a female. The alleged relative then left with a female in a red car.

Another witness then observed the same red car turn onto Eisenhower Drive when she observed Labrandon Fritz, 34, of Monroe climb the fence from the backyard of the opposing residence and break the window at the back of 212 Harding Dr. The witness said she knows Fritz very well and said she saw him go into the residence from the back window.

Deputies located several shoe prints in the mud outside the window which had a definite tread pattern of an Adidas shoe.

Deputies located Fritz at his residence and advised him of his rights. Fritz said he had been home all day and has not left. Fritz then gave deputies consent to search the residence. Deputies then found a pair of muddied Adidas tennis shoes in his bedroom with the same style tread pattern at 212 Harding Dr.

Fritz said he has not worn these shoes in a long time, but could not explain the fresh mud to authorities. He continued to deny being at the Harding residence.

He was arrested and transported to OCC where he was charged with Simple Burglary.

His bond was set at $15,000.
