ON THIS DAY: La. State Police remembers big appearance in “Live and Let Die”

According to the Louisiana State Police’s Facebook page, the James Bond 007 “Live and Let Die” movie was released on this day in 1973.

For fans of the movie, it’s hard to forget that Louisiana State Police played a role in the film.

The movie featured actor Roger Moore as James Bond in a famous boat chase scene through Louisiana bayous.

After stealing a speedboat, Bond is pursued by Sheriff J.W. Pepper and several LSP Chevy Bel Airs.

The chase scene was filmed in the Irish Bayou area of Louisiana.
