The Parish Restaurant and Bar, located in Monroe, hasn’t opened its doors yet but, Chef Proprietor, Cory Bahr, says it’s a one-of-a-king establishment. It’s inside is decorated with art work from famous painters and sculptors. Bahr says that his purpose for the restaurant is rare.
“This restaurant is something different. Something unique to Monroe. We’re not trying to be New Orleans, we’re not trying to be any other part of the country.”
Bahr says Parish will cater to seasonal and regional flavors both in Food and Drinks.
The establishment can be found at 318 N. 2nd street and is expected to open at the end of the month. It will grow it’s own vegetation…receive seafood directly imported from the Gulf, everything will be made fresh and in-store and a fire pit sits outside waiting to be lit for the chill of the fall season.
