A Louisiana man was killed this morning while riding a motorcycle after a vehicle hit him in front of the Dollar General in Sterlington.
Sterlington Police responded to the accident around 9:00 a.m. Tuesday (6/20/17) morning.
Officers say a vehicle that was traveling west turned into the motorcyclists lane who was traveling east.
The motorcyclist was killed and pronounced dead at the scene by the Ouachita Parish Coroner’s Office.
The motorcyclist has been identified as Joey Gray, 56 of Sikes, Louisiana.
The driver of the vehicle has been cited for failure to yield to oncoming traffic.
Intoxication of the vehicle operator is not suspected but blood was drawn and sent to crime lab for testing.
