Mother of missing 4-year-old arrested on unrelated charges

(5/3/18) The mother of the missing 4-year-old in Claiborne Parish has been arrested on unrelated charges.

According to the Claiborne Parish Sheriff’s Office, Sheila Phillips was arrested on a drug charge pertaining to methamphetamine around 12:00 pm on Thursday, May 3.

She is being held in Claiborne Parish Jail on a $50,000.00 bond.

Sheila is the mother of 4-year-old Rondreiz “Junior” Phillips, who has been missing since April 5, 2018.

The stepdad of Rondreiz Phillips was arrested back in April.

Nicholas Gilbert, was picked up in Lincoln Parish around 10 a.m. on April 25 by deputies with the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Office on an outstanding warrant for theft of scrap metal.

Gilbert was booked into Lincoln Parish Detention Center as a fugitive from another jurisdiction.

The Claiborne Parish Sheriff’s Office has since picked up Gilbert for booking in Claiborne.

Rescue searches for Rondreiz “Junior” Phillips are still ongoing.

There is an award of $10,000 being offered for any information leading to the location of Rondreiz.
