11/29/18- A man is under arrest — but Monroe police believe he’s not the one who killed a father of three over the weekend. 34-year-old Demond Jackson is charged with obstructing justice and as an accessory after the fact, His bond has not yet been set. Police believe Jackson saw 27-year-old Deshun Cook shot to death at Oak Manor apartments this past Saturday,and that he let the killer use his cell phone to call a ride.Officers say that Jackson told them he’d deleted the messages and call history from his cell phone before talking to them.Police have not said whether they’ve identified Deshun Cook’s killer.
Tallulah police have arrested three men in connection to a shooting.Police arrested 22-year-old Deon Perkins, 27-year-old Dickie Anderson, and 21-year-old Levonte James.Police say that multiple gun shots were fired at a local skating rink and the country meadows apartments on Black Friday. 20-year-old Delvin Fountain was hit and is still in critical condition.Perkins charged with illegal use of a dangerous weapon and attempted second degree murder, bond set at 2-hundred-seventy-thousand dollars.Anderson and James are charged with illegal use of a dangerous weapon and possession of firearm by convicted felon, Anderson’s bond set at 45-thousand and James’ bond set at 40-thousand.
