According to the Baton Rouge Business Report, “LSU Athletics Director Joe Alleva is expected to step down—perhaps as early as today—from the position he has held at the university for more than a decade.”

Alleva has been at LSU for over a decade after serving as Athletics Director at Duke University.

LSU AD Alleva followed former LSU baseball coach Skip Bertman as Athletics Director.

An LSU board member told The Advocate that “it’s a done deal,” that the decision was made on Tuesday night during the LSU Board of Supervisors executive session.
