Monroe man faces obscenity charges after exposing himself in front of children

(3/17/19) A Monroe man faces obscenity charges after exposing himself in the presence of children and adults on Saturday on Hall Street.

A witness told Monroe police that the man later identified as Michael Dewayne Ashley, 42, of Monroe was walking on the sidewalk when he stopped and looked through the fence to a playground area. He also tried to call children over to him while he engaged in indecent bahvior.

His pants were still unzipped when officers arrived. He was arrested and transported to OCC.

He was charged with obscenity and indecent behavior with juveniles. 

His bond was set at $4,500.
