Monroe police have arrested a man after he broke into a home and threatened to shoot multiple people.
Phillip Kendrix is being held in the Ouachita Correctional Center.
Police say he showed up at a residence on Stacy Drive Sunday and pushed past a teenager who tried to stop him from entering.
He then kicked down a bedroom door and said he was going to shoot a woman and her boyfriend.
Kendrix struggled with the woman while holding a handgun, but she was able to escape.
He then left, threatening to return and shoot other people inside the home.
Police found him on Polk Street and arrested him.
Kendrix faces five charges, including domestic abuse battery, home invasion, and violation of a protective order.
His bond is nearly $50,000.
