Monroe man arrested on Attempted 2nd Degree Murder charge after beating another man with a hammer

MONROE, La. - (12/31/18) A Monroe man has been arrested, accused of beating another man with a hammer.

Monroe Police arrested 26 year old Kenny Price around 11:30 P.M. Sunday, December 30. 

According to the arrest report, officers found the victim unresponsive with several cuts to his head.

The victim's mother told police that the incident happened at an apartment on Barrington Drive and that Price had hit her son with a hammer.  

The victim was taken to St. Francis Medical Center and later transported to Shreveport with a fractured skull and bleeding on the brain.  

Price admitted to police he hit the victim twice in the head with the hammer.

Price is charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder.
