So how do we address this problem?
President of West Monroe/West Ouachita Chamber of Commerce, Courtney Hornsby, says it’s all about women sticking together.
“It’s important to know that you are not alone in that, there are others who share those same concerns and challenges that you do. I think that we could do a better job of helping bring our females together and help empower them to let them know that there is support out there, and there are resources to help them in their endeavors,” says Hornsby.
The study also shows women in the state rank second to last place in health care.
46th place out of 51 for women’s life expectancy at birth
39th for quality of women’s hospitals
