(10/3/18) A man with ties to Louisiana could soon be heading the U.S. Marshals Service.

President Trump has nominated Donald Washington to serve as the agency’s next director.

Washington is a lawyer with the Jones Walker Law Firm in Lafayette.

He served as the United States Attorney for the Western District of Louisiana from 2001 to 2010

Washington is also a graduate of West Point.
