WEST MONROE, La. (Press Release) — (4/15/19) In the wake of the massive fire that destroyed Boley Elementary School this past Saturday, April 13th, several West Monroe and Monroe businesses have partnered to offer their support. Rick Breen’s Rapid Lube and Wash, Taco Bandido, Catfish Charlie’s, Kim Duke State Farm, Blake Wheelis State Farm, Pam Accardo State Farm, West Monroe Hearing Healthcare and Honey Hole are calling on their friends, neighbors, and customers to offer their support.
“As soon as I heard of this catastrophic fire, I contacted Boley’s Principal, Sandy Kolb Bates, to see what immediate help our local clients could give,” said Louis “Tripper” Lowentritt, President of low+tritt, the advertising firm representing the participating businesses. “Sandy said we could help by donating playground equipment – things like kickballs, basketballs, frisbees, jump ropes, soccer balls – anything that can be used for recess, inside or outside. Our local clients were more than eager to offer whatever assistance they could, so our West Monroe clients came together to ‘Back the Boley Bears'”.
Donations of kickballs, basketballs, frisbees, jump ropes, soccer balls – anything that can be used for recess, inside or outside. are being accepted at the following locations: Taco Bandido (3606 Cypress Street), Kim Duke State Farm (3714 Cypress Street), Blake Wheelis State Farm (713 Trenton Street), Pam Accardo State Farm (5500 Cypress Street), West Monroe Hearing Healthcare (105 McMillan Road) and The Honey Hole (2916 North 7th Street).
Fundraisers have been planned at the following locations and times:
– 7:30am-5:30pm Thursday, April 25th + Friday, April 26th: Rick Breen’s Rapid Lube and Wash will donate all car wash sales for its location at 120 Well Road, West Monroe
– 10:30am-8:30pm Monday, April 29th: Catfish Charlie’s will donate 100% of net profits from sales at its location at 2329 Louisville Avenue, Monroe
– 10am-10pm Tuesday, April 30th: Taco Bandido will donate 100% of net profits from food sales at its location at 3606 Cypress Street, West Monroe.
