OUACHITA Parish (Press Release) — (4/15/19) The Eros Community Water System, the Cadevile Water System and Indian Village Water System have issued boil advisories after they say lightning and other factors from severe weather damaged their water mains.

Some residents under these water systems are asked to boil their water for one full minute before use.

For the Eros Community Water System, residents on Lapine Road, Kilpatrick Road and Durwood Crowell Road are affected.

For the Cadeville Water System, residents on Mt. Pleasant Road and Caples Road are affected.

For the Indian Village Water System, residents affected include 287-338 Ray Chapman Rd, 324-4196 Hwy 80, 136-289 Lany Crocker Rd, Dozier Lane, Purdy Rd, Richard Linder Rd, Hodge Hill Rd.

The one minute starts after the water has been brought to a rolling boil. (The flat taste can be eliminated by shaking the water in a clean bottle or pouring it from one clean container to another, or by adding a pinch of salt to each quart of water that is boiled.)

It is recommended that all consumers disinfect their water before consuming it (including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, or using it for food preparation or rinsing of food by the following means:
