A new poll suggests five candidates have a chance to make the December runoff in the Louisiana U.S. Senate race.

The results from JMC Analytics and Polling show Congressman Charles Boustany and Public Service Commissioner Foster Campbell leading with 15 percent.

Congressman John Fleming is close behind with 14 percent.

Caroline Fayard has 12 percent support and Treasurer John Kennedy round out the top five with 11 percent support.

24 candidates are running to succeed David Vitter in the U.S. Senate. Vitter decided not to run for re-election.

The deadline to register to vote is on October 11.

Election day is November 8.
