(4/23/19) A Jackson man will serve some time in federal prison, for producing child porn and images of child pornography.

36-year-old Cody Clines Adkins is sentenced to serve 60 years followed by a lifetime of supervised release.

He was ordered to pay a $5,000 fine and restitution to be determined at a later date.

Adkins was charged in an 18-count federal indictment on July 25, 2018.

He pled guilty before Judge Reeves on January 17, 2019, to four counts of producing child pornography and two counts of possessing images of child pornography.

Attorney General Jim Hood made a state on the sentencing of Cody Cline Adkins.

“This pedophile deserves every year he’s gotten behind bars. As a father, I cannot think of a more disgusting crime than what this man has committed, and I pray that the innocent children he has victimized will find peace and be able to enjoy the childhood they deserve. Thank you to Judge Reeves and the agencies that worked together to put this man far away from destroying more lives.”
