(10/4/18) This week Lincoln Parish law enforcement authorities began tracking down suspects wanted for selling illegal drugs.  The round-up is the result of an extensive undercover investigation by the Lincoln Parish Narcotics Enforcement Team (LPNET).

Approximately 100 arrest warrants were obtained for over 30 suspects by authorities along with several search warrants.

LPNET agents started the week early Monday morning serving three simultaneous search warrants where they seized drugs, money, and vehicles associated with Kelvin Drayton. Drayton was also arrested that morning.  According to Stephen Williams, Drayton was one of the bigger players in the drug round up, saying he has a lengthy history in the illegal drug trade.

Sheriff Mike Stone stated “Methamphetamine continues to be popular in the area and the results are devastating. We are committed to making this community a safe place to live and raise a family. We will continue the fight against illegal drugs in Lincoln Parish.”

LPNET is a joint task force staffed by the Third Judicial District Attorney’s Office, Ruston Police Department, Grambling Police Department and the Lincoln Parish Sheriff’s Department.

If you have any information involving illegal activity, you are asked to contact Ruston/Lincoln Crimestoppers at 318-255-1111.
