Greedy Williams, on Friday night, selected 46th in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft by the Clevaland Browns. Highly regarded as the top “cover cornerback in the Draft,” he left school early after qualifying as a Thorpe Award Finalist(for the top defensive back in the country).

The Shreveport native was a First Team All-American in 2018 and Third team All-American in 2017.

Williams led the Southeastern Conference in interceptions(6) in his second season with the program. He also notched 71 tackles and 28 passes defended in the purple and gold.

Adding to his accolades, Greedy was a two-time All-SEC selection during the only two years of his career on the field.

The redshirt sophomore was slated by many to be selected in the first round, but had to wait until the second day to hear his name called.
