The Retired State Employees Association (RSEA) presented the Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana a $2,700 check on Thursday, March 9.
The RSEA was given $25,000 from AMBIA to help with continued flood relief throughout the state of Louisiana. The RSEA decided to split the funds across the regions of Louisiana.
Here in Northeast Louisiana, over 68,000 people struggle with hunger. The Food Bank of Northeast Louisiana procures, sorts, inventories and provides food to our partner agencies for distribution into their local communities. In addition, the Food Bank operates three programs that directly provide food to those most vulnerable – our children and seniors. Together, as a hunger-relief network, over 42,600 people are served annually.
