(4/23/19) Farmers and ranchers are giving a helping hand to sick children and their families across the Arklamiss.
Each year, the Lousiana Farm Bureau helps keep the shelves of the Ronald McDonald Houses stocked with grocery items.
Specifically, the woman’s leadership committee helped to bring in close to $2,000 worth of items that were donated to the Monroe Ronald McDonald House.
Denise Canatella said, “Well, it’s a piece of comfort for those residents that are going to need this home. Those that have a sick child in the hospital. It means they will not have to worry about where the food’s going to come from and basically all they have to do is focus on the sick children that have.”
The Farm Bureau expects the donations to last four to six months.
