Epps Water System no longer under boil advisory

WEST CARROLL PARISH, La. – (5/3/19) The Louisiana Department of Health/Office of Public Health have rescinded the boil advisory issued by Epps Water System.

The samples were cleared on Friday, May 3, 2019. 


(4/12/19) West Carroll Parish has been issued a boil advisory by the Village of Epps Water System due to problems with the water supply system.

It is recommended that all consumers disinfect their water before consuming it (including fountain drinks), making ice, brushing teeth, or using it for food preparation or rinsing of foods by the following means:

Boil water for one (1) full minute in a clean container. The one minute starts after the water has been brough to a rolling boil. (The flat taste can be eliminated by shaking the water in a clean bottle or pouring it from one clean container to another.

The boil advisory will be rescinded once the quality of water is found to be safe.
