FRIDAY JUNE 1ST, 2018 - The Downtown BrewFest is back! This Saturday, June 2nd, from 6pm-9pm you'll have the chance to sample over 200 different craft brews, many that are exclusive to this event.

Rob Brewer, co-owner of "The Flying Tiger Brewery" teamed up with Origin Bank and several distributors to put the event together. Brewer says beer lovers will be in beer heaven with the wide selection of beers available to taste.

"Over 200 beers will be available and what really excites me are the nine homebrews you'll have the chance to taste."

And even if you aren't a beer drinker, Brewers says he's got you covered.

"We teamed up with our local winery, Landry's Vineyard, who will be pouring wine samples for those who don't love beer as much as I do."

No matter what you drink, NBC 10/Fox 14 Reporter Bonnie Kaye says your price of admission is going to a great cause.

"Proceeds from the BrewFest go toward downtown beautification projects like this green space which will eventually become a park where kids can play."

Located on the corner of 3rd and Desiard, the park will be called the 3rd Street Park. Brewer says it will be great for families.

"It will have a retired trolley, and some seats, and be very family-friendly with lots of opportunities to take photos."

Brewer adds, "Even though it's going to be a hot weekend, we plan to beat the heat by having the event in the evening after things have cooled off a bit."

Tickets are $25.00 in advance and $35.00 at the gate. The deadline to get the discounted rate is Friday night at midnight at domobrewfest.com.
