(12/19/18) Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Deputies and US Forest Service Law Enforcement Agents are trying to find and check on the welfare of a female that walked away from the Red Bluff Camp area in Kisatchie National Forest on Friday.

Deputies and Forest Service Agents are looking for 24-year-old Kayla Sheryl Brown.

The Philadelphia, PA native is 5′4″ tall and weighs 190 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.

Deputies say Brown was reportedly with a group in the Red Bluff camp area, when she decided to leave and told other camp visitors that she was going to try and make it back to Philadelphia.

Deputies and Forest Service Agents have patrolled the area extensively but have been unable to locate Miss Brown.

Detectives interviewed a couple who observed Brown walking in Kisatchie at approximately 9:30am on Monday morning.

She informed the couple that she was trying to make it to a store and did not appear to be in any distress.

Deputies would like to make contact with Brown to confirm she is safe and assist if possible.

If you are traveling through the area, or observe a female and black pit bulldog walking on the roadside matching Miss Brown’s description please contact the Natchitoches Parish Sheriff’s Office at 318.352.6432.
