(KNWA via KARK) — A Boone County child porn suspect was busted after he took his laptop to a computer repair shop in Berryville, and the person fixing the machine found his pornographic images, deputies said.

Jack R. Abels, 63, of Alpena was arrested after the computer repair store found the images and reported them, according to the Boone County Sheriff’s Department.

An FBI/Boone County Sheriff’s Department investigation revealed 52 pornographic images of children on Abels’ hard drive that he downloaded from the internet.

He was taken into custody on Thursday in Alpena without incident.

Abels was booked into the Boone County Detention Center and given a $50,000 bond, deputies said.
