The Council for a Better Louisiana and Public Affairs research updated the community on what is going on in Baton Rouge.
Items on the agenda included the session itself, where the budget stands on higher education, healthcare and what would happen if indeed, Louisiana called a constitutional convention.
“Baton Rouge is a ways away from Monroe, and even though you can pick it up in the media you know trying to get an update on what’s going on, I wouldn’t say behind the scenes but a little bit more context of what the activity is, the action is and kind of what it means to people,” said Barry Erwin, President of Council for a Better Louisiana.
A number of leaders will head to Baton Rouge next month to meet and greet and lobby.
