Coronavirus in Louisiana: State reporting 315 new cases, 12 new deaths in Sunday’s update

BATON ROUGE, La. (May 16, 2020) — The Louisiana Department of Health (LDH) is now reporting 315 new cases and 12 new deaths across the state. This brings the total number of cases across the state to 34,432 with a total of 2,425 deaths.

In Northeast Louisiana, there were 48 new cases and 1 new death reported. Ouachita Parish is still reporting the most cases and deaths in our area with 946 cases and 31 deaths.

On Saturday, Concordia Parish reported 1 new death.

Here is a list of local parishes reporting cases and death:

  • Ouachita Parish – 946 cases, 31 deaths (15 new cases)
  • Franklin Parish – 273 cases, 8 deaths (5 new cases, 0 new deaths)
  • Union Parish – 242 cases, 14 deaths (6 new cases, 0 new deaths)
  • Lincoln Parish – 121 cases, 13 deaths (2 new cases, 0 new deaths)
  • Richland Parish – 106 cases, 1 death (no change)
  • Catahoula Parish – 106 cases, 3 death (2 new cases)
  • Morehouse Parish – 91 cases, 5 deaths (6 new cases, 0 new deaths)
  • Jackson Parish – 69 cases, 9 deaths (1 new case, 0 new deaths)
  • Winn Parish – 84 cases, 2 deaths (4 new cases)
  • Concordia Parish – 57 cases, 5 deaths (1 new case, 1 new death)
  • Caldwell Parish – 50 cases (no change)
  • La Salle Parish – 40 cases (3 new cases)
  • East Carroll Parish – 34 cases (2 new cases)
  • Madison Parish – 24 cases (no change)
  • Tensas Parish – 5 cases (no change)
  • West Carroll Parish – 13 cases (1 new case)
