UPDATE (09/19/2023): An investigation into 41-year-old Brent Lee Book for indecent behavior with juveniles, stemming from a juvenile cruelty case, was launched by the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office on September 1, 2023. Based on the evidence recovered, the suspect was also charged with three counts of Sexual Abuse of an Animal.
Today, the suspect was rebooked and charged with Sexual Battery based on new evidence. The matter remains ongoing.
UPDATE (09/11/2023): On Friday, September 1, 2023, Brent Lee Book was charged with Indecent Behavior with Juveniles after being arrested for Felony Domestic Abuse Battery. As the investigation progressed, detectives of the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office seized electronic devices from Book’s residence, and a forensic analysis was conducted.
According to detectives, numerous images were recovered consisting of humans engaged in sexual activity with animals. Book was charged with three counts of Sexual Abuse of an Animal.
The matter remains under investigation.
VIDALIA, La. (KTVE/KARD) — On August 27, 2023, detectives of the Concordia Parish Sheriff’s Office began an investigation into allegations of child abuse. According to authorities, they learned that the subject allegedly forced a juvenile to watch pornographic videos with him and engaged in indecent sexual behavior and conversations on numerous occasions.
Due to the sensitive nature of the case, no additional information can be released to the public. Detectives have confirmed that the victim is safe and has been receiving proper care.
The suspect was identified as 41-year-old Brent Lee Book of Monterey, La. and he was charged with Indecent Behavior with Juveniles and Cruelty to Juveniles.
