(12/12/18) The Columbia lock and dam has been under repair now since July of this year. Repairs were scheduled to be completed by the end of this year, but emergency repairs have prompted the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to keep the lock and dam closed.
Now the repairs look to be completed in the next 2-4 months, assuming things stay on track.
This could affect industries that rely on the river. Boating and gas are just a couple listed.
The Army Corps of Engineers will continue to work the issues so the impact to the industries on the river is fairly minimal. We will keep you updated once we hear new information
