City engineer talks major projects for Monroe in 2019

MONROE, La. (The News-Star) - (3/17/19) According to our partners at The News-Star, over one dozen projects on the city of Monroe's five-year capital improvement plan will represent a nearly $230 million investment when fully realized. 

The $230 million total represents combined funding from state and federal sources partnered with city funding.

Projects on the improvement plan are in various stages of development. U.S. 165 South lighting improvements will start later in 2019 while others, such as the new Georgia Street pump station, are in planning and approval phases with tentative let dates within the next year.
