Children use National Lemonade Day to raise money for Boley’s Pre-K teachers

Local News

(5/3/19) MONROE, La. — Lightning may have brought lemons to West Monroe’s Boley Elementary School, but one group is using Sunday’s National Lemonade Day to help.

The children of LA Delta Children’s Center were out in their front lobby today selling fresh squeezed lemonade and bags of cookies for $1 each.

The money raised will be used to help Boley’s teachers.

It’ll buy a gift card for Books-A-Million for Boley’s Pre-K teachers, so they can replenish their personal classroom supplies that the recent fire destroyed.
