CASTOR, La. (KTAL) — (4/18/19) Students are being sent home from Castor High School following the second bomb threat this week.

Bienville Parish school officials confirm the high school was placed on lockdown Thursday morning and buses have been brought in to send students home.

The same school was placed on lockdown Tuesday after the robbery of a nearby bank as authorities searched for suspects still at large at the time. Classes were canceled and the campus was searched again Wednesday after one of those suspects claimed after they were taken into custody that there was a bomb at the school. No suspicious devices were found in that search.

It’s not clear yet whether Thursday’s bomb threat is believed to be related to events in recent days.
