Calhoun holds benefit for beloved officer with stage 4 cancer

CALHOUN, La. – (4/6/19) In Calhoun today, dozens of local residents rallied around a beloved Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Deputy battling stage 4 cancer.

Jackie Kindrix, has served his community for years, and now they’re stepping up–holding a benefit dinner to help with his medical expenses.

Calhoun grocery and OPSO selling $10 dinner plates. 

Kindrix is floored with all the support he’s getting. 

“Well, I’m excited, it’s unbelievable with the turn out that is here today,” said Kindrix, “I’m just so excited and just pleased that so many people care about me and the issues that I have.”

All the money raised goes to Kindrix’s medical treatment and travel expenses.
