BREAKING NEWS: Explosion at Roseburg Forest Products Plant in Simsboro

(7/12/19) SIMSBORO, La. – The Lincoln Parish Fire Department and paramedics responded to an explosion at Roseburg Forest Products in Simsboro, according to a worker at the scene.

Sources say the fire began as a result of a spark in the factory’s dryer system around 8:40 Thursday night.

A worker on scene says he believes that same spark caused a pressure vent to pop off, which may explain the “explosion sounds”.

The fire was put out by 9:00 p.m. Thursday night. No injuries were reported.
