With a servants heart Staff Sergeant James Easter is committed to not only serving his country but his city as well.
As he along with other members of the national guard prepare for their summer tip off here in old city park.
“This is why we do these events to do for our youth our teens to do something positive.” Says Easter.
The El Dorado native joined the national guard back in 97′.
Within his first six years he completed basic and advanced training, moving up in the ranks and becoming an E-4.
But on July 4th 2003 he suffered a gunshot wound to the head.
His determination would not let him quit. He fought months in rehabilitation to get better and physically fit.
So hard that six months later he was medically approved to go back to Iraq and now his is a recruiter here in El Dorado.
