(01/05/19) GRAPHIC CONTENT: A Faulkner County Sheriff Deputy has been fired after a video shows him shooting a Chihuahua.

This incident took place Friday in the Shiloh Estates Neighborhood.

This uncensored video can be found here.  It has been shared all over social media.

It shows a deputy speaking with a homeowner as two small dogs run around his yard. This all started after a woman called the cops saying the dog tried to attack her.

You can see in the video tha the dog, who is named Reeses, starts barking and the deputy shoots her.

Reeses did survive the gunshot wound and her owner confirmed that she would never hurt anyone;  he’s just happy she is alive.

“Crying…when he shot that dog when he shot that dog I had lost it. I though he killed her and now I’m fearing he pulls the taser on me I’m backing away trying to get back into my house,” said Doug Canady.

Canady and Resees have been together ever since she wandered into his yard years ago. He says confirmed that he will fight for justice and hopes more is done to the officer who is being called responsible.

The GoFundMe page for Reeses can be found here

The deputy has been “relieved of his duties,” according to the Faulkner County Sheriff’s Office.
