Louisiana’s Attorney General Jeff Landry is endorsing Mike Johnson in the 4th Congressional District race.
Attorney General Landry said, “Before I was elected Attorney General, I served in Congress as a voice for the people of Louisiana. From my own experience, I know Mike has what it takes to be a leading voice in Congress. I know he will stick to his conservative convictions even as the Washington establishment tries to push him in another direction. Mike and I have fought together in Baton Rouge for conservative principles, including tackling the fraudulent use of taxpayer dollars, challenging Governor Edwards’ tax increases that harm Louisiana businesses and families, and opposing failed Sanctuary City policies. I am confident Mike will continue to fight for our conservative Louisiana values in Washington.”
“I am truly humbled to receive the endorsement of my good friend, Attorney General Jeff Landry,” said Rep. Mike Johnson. “When Jeff was in Congress, he earned a reputation as one of its most conservative members and most effective champions for the people. I will do the same. I appreciate his confidence, leadership and his endorsement.”
Eight candidates are running for the seat being vacated by John Fleming, who decided to run for U.S. Senate.
The election is November 8.
Early voting for the November 8 election begins on Tuesday.
