(3/13/18) Move his trial? That’s what defense attorneys asked for Jaylin Wayne–the man accused of two killings at Grambling State University.

Less than four months after his last appearance before a judge.

For second time since his arrest back in October, accused murderer and former Grambling State University student 19-year-old Jaylin Wayne appeared in court.

This time his baton rouge defense attorneys claiming it would be hard for him to get a fair trial.

Wayne’s attorneys were hoping for a change in venue from here in Lincoln parish. However, a judge denied the motion.

“They can do what they want,” said Quanieze Andrews,”Because, I believe.. I have faith in God that he is going to work everything out for the good.”

Watching the hearing  from the front row were the loved ones of Earl Andrews and Monquiarious Caldwell.
The two 23-year-old’s that were gunned down on the school’s campus.

The family left the courtroom feeling a range of emotions, but together they are remaining positive.

“I feel good about everything. I know Earl is up there resting and Monquiarious is too and God has a plan for all of us,” said Ansley Kelly.

Even praying for the alleged killer…. the man who took the life of their own flesh and blood.

“God bless him. That’s all I’m gone say. God bless him,” said Andrews.

Finding peace in knowing that the legacies of Earl and Monquiarious will live on forever.

“My support of my little brother is keeping him and Monquiarious name alive and we know that we have a great support system. And they will always be well known. Especially my little brother, his name will always have a place in my heart,” said Andrews.

The judge has placed a gag-order, but Wayne’s attorneys say his family will make a statement later.

Wayne’s pre-trial is set for July 10th.
