The Ruston Lincoln Parish Convention & Visitors Bureau is excited to announce that Union Parish and Lincoln Parish has again been selected to host a Bass Pro Shop Crappie Masters Tournament.
The tournament will be a two-day Louisiana State Crappie Championship held February 26-27, 2016 at Lake D’Arbonne. Weigh-in for the tournament will be in Farmerville.
This event is open to all fishermen, professional and amateur. Registration will be held in Willie Davis Recreation Center on Thursday, February 25th at 5p.m. with dinner and a media meet & greet, followed by a seminar at 6:30 p.m. The entry fee for the tournament is $325 per boat with two fishermen.
Participating anglers will be able to fish both Friday and Saturday and weigh-in their catch on Friday and Saturday at D’Arbonne Point. Crappie Masters pay out over 100% of the entry fees in cash and prizes. Winners from this tournament qualify for the 2016 National Championship in Grenada MS.
Crappie Masters will also offer a free fishing rodeo on Saturday, Feb. 27 for kids at Lake D’Arbonne for ages 15 and under. Registration begins at 8:00 a.m. and fishing is from 9:00-10:30 a.m. at Ramp Road on Hwy 33 in Farmerville.
